COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
MANAGEMENT
To ensure the smooth and effective running of the preschool as a whole.

To establish clear and helpful policies which reflect the ethos of the preschool.
​​
To be fully conversant with EYFS and other guidance and to ensure that
preschool policies are in line with the recommended standards.

To keep up-to-date with the current issue of Early Years Curriculum Guidelines, and ensure
that these are understood and followed by the Manager and Deputy Manager.
STAFFING
To support the Preschool Manager and Deputy in all aspects of the work as best as possible.
To plan for leadership, i.e. the Manager and Deputy.
To provide information for training courses in preparation for these roles, and be
supportive and responsible for identifying funding to cover the training.
To ensure sufficient staffing for each session.
To provide a list of ‘supply staff’ who will be able to cover in cases of sickness etc.,
if needed, to help the Preschool Manager find supply cover from day-to-day.
To review salaries of staff annually.
To ensure that all staff have undergone the necessary checks prior to becoming a member of staff.
FINANCE
To set and review fees and salaries annually.

To be responsible for astute management of the preschool finances.
